Chrome should adopt the Monkey The huge library of add-ons is one large advantage that Firefox currently retains against new player Chrome. Of course in the fullness of time we’ll see some Chrome-specific add-on machinery, and perhaps it will even avoid reinventing every wheel, making life a little easier for we hamsters that try to run within them - but my understanding is that this kind of proper extension framework is not sufficiently near the top of the Chrome team’s list. I think the cheap win would be to bake support for GreaseMonkey into Chrome.
