Yo lazyweb: I have been banging my head against this most of the day. I want to do some “roll it down the hill and see if it crashes” testing in the development environment of my Rails project (1.2.3). In other words, basically, when I fire up script/server, I want to start out the database with my test data in it. At least enough so I can actually see my project running, instead of RecordNotFound error pages. I have unit test fixture .yml files already set up, so if I can leverage what the unit tests do with those, that would be rad.
